Cultural experiences in Tokyo and Kamakura
through food walks, quiet temples, beautiful gardens,
local history, Zen, and Japanese aesthetics.
I offer private guided walks for travelers who want to experience Japan beyond ordinary sightseeing — from the lively food culture of Tsukiji and Shibuya to the quiet beauty of Meiji Shrine, Asakusa, the Imperial Palace, Nihonbashi, and Kamakura.
My background combines professional guiding experience with years of study in Japanese religion, philosophy, Zen, and aesthetics. I hold a DPhil from the University of Oxford, where I specialized in Japanese philosophy and religion.
Whether we are tasting fresh seafood in Tsukiji, exploring Tokyo after dark in Shibuya, walking through the sacred forest of Meiji Shrine, or visiting the temples and shrines of Kamakura, my aim is to help you enjoy Japan through food, history, spirituality, beauty, and everyday life.
